We didn’t start this journey as chefs.
We began as travelers, tour operators, and food lovers – born and raised right here in Da Nang.
For years, we worked behind the scenes with international travel agencies, helping thousands of guests enjoy Vietnam. In recent years, we also ran some small online food businesses in Da Nang. It gave us a different lens: we saw how locals actually eat day to day, and how hard it is for travelers to access that world.
The truth? The best places rarely show up on tourist maps. They don’t advertise – because they’re already packed with regulars. Meanwhile, many promoted spots (even viral ones) are either overrated, overpriced, or simply don’t reflect how we locals eat.
We also realized most Da Nang food tours sold online, even the good ones, weren’t run by true Da Nang locals. They were often operated by teams from other (surrounding) cities. We respect their success – but we knew we could offer something different. Something truly homegrown – a tour born right here, on these streets.
So we opened Eat Da Nang Food Tours – bringing local-led Da Nang street food walks directly to travelers. Real places, real food, real stories. No scripts. No tourist traps. Just the way we eat.
